Image used in NEW sporting book 2014


Some of my hunting images of terriers lamping rats at night are being used in the new book Ratting with Terriers by
John Glover, published at the end of 2014

John is an expert terrierman and contacted me through a friend "Pud" Barnfather from Northumberland, to use some of images of terriers hunting rats at night with the aid of lamps.
I sent John a selection to have a look at and he has chosen the ones that are used in the book

NCPF 2014 Competition Best Nature Print


My print "A feather pluckers son" showing a sparrowhawk with its catch (siskin) has won the Best Nature Print colour or monochrome, in the Northern Counties Photographic Federation 2014 annual competition.

Newspaper features on Bill Wildlife Photography


4 different newspapers have gone with a feature about my hunting past and my wildlife photography present, these include the Metro, Daily Record and the Scottish Daily mail in their Friday 28th editions and their online editions

Camera Club 2nd prize


One of my images of an osprey won a closely fought battle with the winning image by Keith Saint.

Northern interclub competition success


At a Northern interclub competition held at Cambois camera club on Wednesday 19th, one of my images obtained the maximum points award of 30...another image entered obtained a score of 28 out of 30. My camera club, Ashington CO-OP came second overall in the competition, only 2 points behind the eventual winners, Morpeth.
